SentierValue

interface SentierValue<out T>

Defines a value that is attached to a log event.

Instances of this interface don't store the value, but only declare its shape.

Values are combined using SentierValues.

Example

val values = SentierValues
    .with(Message) { "Create user" }
    .with(EventTime) { Clock.System.now() }

This example uses the values Message and EventTime.

abstract val enabled: Boolean

Whether this value should be collected.

If false, the value is completely ignored.

id

abstract val id: String

Unique identifier of this value.

This identifier should not change over time. It is used to identify the value when it is sent to log aggregators.
